About Arun Kiran Patro
I am Arun Kiran Patro, and I didn't start LegacyToAI to build another consulting company.
I started it after spending 15+ years inside complex systems at Oracle and PayPal and seeing the same problems repeat across teams and organizations: legacy systems that were hard to change, low-code platforms that created long-term lock-in, and architectures that looked good on paper but slowed down real delivery.
Over time, I realized most companies do not need more tools or large rewrites. They need clarity. They need someone who can step into a complex system, understand it quickly, and make the right architectural decisions.
That's how I work. I stay hands-on, work directly with engineering teams, and focus on outcomes: systems that are easier to build, easier to maintain, and better aligned to business growth.
Track record
Led UI architecture for a cloud-native Access Governance platform used by global enterprises, then stepped into backend reliability work during a critical phase to raise test coverage from 30% to 82% and help restore system stability.
Worked on systems operating at massive scale, including high-value payment compliance that recovered about $800K per week in transaction volume and CRM workflow redesign that reduced customer support handling time.
Transformed legacy systems into maintainable architectures, built unified data layers with GraphQL and orchestration patterns, and designed frontend systems that scale across teams and platforms.
Operated at the intersection of architecture, product thinking, and execution, leading cross-functional work without depending on heavy process overhead or abstract advisory alone.
How I work
Profiles and credentials
My GraphQL patent is part of the same hands-on architecture work I do for teams modernizing complex systems and shared data platforms.
Issued patent
I hold this patent for a GraphQL interface pattern designed to introspect connected data sources and make complex systems easier to navigate.
Background, recommendations, and delivery history across Oracle, PayPal, and modernization engagements.
